The identifiers are URIs based on the bibliographic three-letter codes in ISO 639 ("Codes for the representation of names of languages"). The published subject set includes all the languages in ISO 639-2, including those which do not have two-letter codes. (The PSI for this PSI set is:

Each of the rows in the table below indicates a different subject. For each row, the subject indicated is the subject identified by the three ISO 639 codes and the French and English names for that subject as given in ISO 639-2. The third column specifies the subject identifier for each language or language group, based on the terminology code.

Note: the rows are sorted according to the subject identifiers. The A2 column contains the two-letter codes from ISO 639-1, while the A3B and A3T column contains the bibliographic and terminology codes from ISO 639-2 respectively.
